Voters (Council and Elders) DATE CHANGE . Due to schedule conflicts, we are moving the elders, council, and voters meetings to July 20-21. Please mark your calendars.
Seminarian Michael Hahn, who has finished his Seminary studies and who is currently preparing to head to his Churches in Oregon where he has received the Divine Call to serve as Pastor, is being ordained into the Office of the Holy Ministry. His Ordination will be at 4PM on Sunday, June 28th at Advent Lutheran Church in Zionsville, Indiana—Michael’s home congregation. Michael has invited Pastor Yeager to be the preacher for this occasion. The entire congregation is invited to attend Michael’s Ordination service at Advent, Zionsville. Talk to Pastor Yeager if you would like more information, address, etc
Wyneken Scholarship forms are available in the narthex to all current and prospective students to our school. Talk to Pr. Yeager for more information. These are due by 6/30 to the Treasurer.
A call for beef. Last year, at the Seminary in Ft. Wayne, the food co-op provided 4,645 lbs. of beef to over 667 students, spouses, and their children. The Seminary food co-op would like to procure 4 or 5 more steers for the upcoming year. Any help would be appreciated. If there are any available steer in the congregation for purchase, we could collect a door-donation for this to support our Seminary. Thank you.
Graduate recognition—Lucas Blum. We rejoice with Lucas Blum who has graduated Adams Central High School and will be working an apprenticeship with an electrician, and will be taking classes for five years in trade school to pursue work as an electrician. We rejoice with our four graduates: Jacob Miller, Gus Nussbaum, Kallie Roe, and Lucas Blum on their graduation from high school and pray the Lord bless their future paths and keep them faithful to his most Holy Name
SGO Presentation. The SGO program has been a great blessing to our Church and School. Those who give donations through the SGO program get a State-Tax credit and also, by their donation, help defray the cost of our congregation’s commitment to Wyneken. We encourage SGO giving through the State of Indiana. Now, starting with the 2027 year, people can also donate through a federal SGO program and receive a Federal Tax Credit. Since this is new legislation which has just come down from Congress, all members ought to be educated on it. Zion, Friedheim is hosting an SGO informational meeting with Scott Schumacher as the speaker on August 30th (details forthcoming). For now, we would like you to mark your calendars for this important meeting and plan to attend. By your participation in the SGO program, both our Church and School are benefited in huge ways. Thank you!
