+Seminary Sunday. Sunday, August 9th. We will take up a donation to support our seminarians by buying a steer (or several) for the Seminary food co-op.

+Sunday School – We still need teachers for our 1st/2nd grade, and 3rd/4th grade classes. Men or women of the congregation are equally desired for these positions. Please prayerfully consider the need and listen for God’s guidance in your decision. We are also looking to add more names to our willing substitute corps. We also give thanks for our returning teachers: Mrs. Catherine Faurote – Nursery, Mrs. Emily Minnich – Preschool/Pre-K, and Mr. Tim Hoffman – 5th/6th/7th grades. SGO Presentation. Zion, Friedheim, invites you to an informational meeting on Sunday,

August 30, at 10:30 a.m. in our Family Life Center. We will be presenting information on the

SGO programs – the Indiana state program as well as the Federal program. The State of Indiana

has chosen to be part of the Federal Scholarship Tax Credit program beginning on January 1,

2027. You have the opportunity to benefit on both your state and federal taxes as well as the

tremendous benefit for our school. Our presenter will be Mr. Scott Schumacher, Executive

Director of the Lutheran SGO of Indiana. The Lutheran SGO exists to raise funds from

individuals and businesses and distribute scholarship funds to all eligible students wanting a

quality Christian education. Questions entertained following Mr. Schumacher’s presentation.

+LBI representative needed. Darrel Ehlerding is stepping down from the position of Preble’s representative for the Lutheran Bible Institute after many years of distinguished service. We are looking for our next representative. This can be a voting OR non-voting member of the congregation. Limited time commitment. Talk to Pastor Yeager if interested.

+Endowment Committee member needed. An additional member of the endowment cmte. is sought to replace Darin Koenemann who sat on this cmte. Talk to Pr. Yeager if interested.
