Now Accepting Snow Removal Bids:
Wyneken Memorial Lutheran School is accepting snow removal bids for the 2025-2026 school year. Bids should include the following: Parking Lot Per occurrence rate for 2” to 5”; Per occurrence rate for 5.1” to 8”; Per hour rate for over 8” Sidewalks Per occurrence rate for 2” to 5” plus ice melt; Per occurrence rate for 5.1” to 8” plus ice melt; Per hour rate for over 8” plus ice melt Other Ice melt application to parking Lot; To apply salt during snow event cost; To apply salt only event cost
Snow removal is to occur anytime school or daycare is in session – lot will need to be cleared by 6:00am. The school may also call you for special circumstances of less than 2” at our discretion. All bids shall be returned to the school office or current school board member by Tuesday, October 14th, 2025 – 3:30 pm.
Youth/District/Community
Amazing Fall Fun, October 19, 2-6PM. Corn Maze and more at Amazing Fall Fun, Indiana’s largest corn maze and many other attractions await. In Waterloo. Bring $10 and a friend at 2PM to the Wyneken parking lot. Parents, please contact your pastor if you are willing to drive.
Trunk or Treat. 5:30PM October 25th in the Wyneken parking lot. Join us for an evening of fun: free chili and hot dogs, trunk or treating, games and prizes for best dressed trunk. Interested in hosting a trunk? Email Jani Thieme at [email protected]. If you would like to help by donating candy please drop that off at the School Office.
Zion Friedheim fundraiser to benefit Heidi Wilkinson. Heidi is the daughter of Michelle Knipstein (Mrs. Gary) and is a member of Zion Friedheim. The fundraiser will be held at Zion-Friedheim’s Family Life Center on Saturday, October 11, from 4 – 7 p.m. The menu for the meal is your choice of pork or Swiss steak, cheesy potatoes, green beans, coleslaw, roll, dessert, and a drink. Presale tickets are available for $15 (there may not be any tickets sold at the door) and should be purchased by October 7. Tickets contact Scott Christner at 260-223-1685.

Rummage Sale. Emmanuel Lutheran Church (Soest), 9909 Wayne Trace, Fort Wayne, will be having their Fall Rummage & Bake Sale on Friday, October 17th, from 10am-6pm and on Saturday , October 18th, from 8am-noon. Bag Sale will be on Saturday, 1 paper grocery bag for $2, or 1 13 gal. garbage bag for $5.
Singing With The Saints Hymn Festival: Sunday, November 2, 3 p.m. You are invited to join us at Zion Friedheim for an afternoon of singing and fellowship. We are currently planning to include a Festival Adult Choir (high school and older), a Festival Children's Choir (2nd grade-8th grade, unchanged voices), and instrumentalists. You do not need to be members of Zion Friedheim in order to participate! Rehearsals will start after Labor Day and will be scheduled based upon the information from the form.
Sing in the Seminary Choir. CTS invites signers from area congregations to participate in the Good Shepherd Institute hymn festival this November. This year’s hymn festival is Monday, November 10, at 7:30pm at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 1126 S. Barr St. There are several practices in October at St. Paul’s. If interested in further details, Pastor Yeager has details a full letter for anyone interested. Talk to him today.
